LAUREN MANDEL is a bi-coastal showrunner and producer who has developed projects with the likes of Keke Palmer/eOne, Jimmy Fallon's Electric Hot Dog Productions, and LeBron James & Maverick Carter's SpringHill. Her most recent credits include SNL50: THE HOMECOMING CONCERT and the SNL50 RED CARPET LIVESTREAM HOSTED BY AMELIA DIMOLDENBERG. Just last year, Lauren showran the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic’s WATCH WITH ALEX COOPER (Peacock/Embassy Row), Co-EP’d A NONSENSE CHRISTMAS WITH SABRINA CARPENTER (Netflix/OBB) and returned to Co-EP the iHEART RADIO JINGLE BALL with frequent collaborators OBB Media (ABC/HULU).
She has developed and showrun multiple specials and pilots for NBCUniversal, including Electric Hot Dog’s first stand-up comedy special (Peacock), which earned her a Critics’ Choice Award nomination and a NBC-ordered late-night format which Lauren co-created and adapted from a live stage show at the Upright Citizens Brigade. She's worked on major tentpole productions including the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS, PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS (NBC), PEOPLE’S CHOICE COUNTRY (NBC), and the MTV MOVIE & TV AWARDS. Additional credits include THE CHARLIE PUTH SHOW (Roku/Scout), OMG FASHUN WITH JULIA FOX (E!/Scout), THE KIDS TONIGHT SHOW (Peacock/Matador Content), GETTING CURIOUS WITH JVN (Netflix), HOLIDAYS WITH THE HOUGHS (NBC), JOE PERA TALKS WITH YOU (Adult Swim), and four seasons at SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (NBC).
In 2023, Lauren launched DISCO NAP, a talent-driven production company specializing in live entertainment and events. Rooted in her close creative relationships, Disco Nap originated and produced the first three LAS CULTURISTAS CULTURE AWARDS beginning in 2022 at Lincoln Center, with Lauren showrunning the live show and overseeing the red carpet, backstage brand activations, and buzzy after party. She is currently in production as Co-Executive Producer of the televised adaptation hosted by Bowen Yang & Matt Rogers, airing this summer on Bravo and Peacock. Other Disco Nap productions include FAB FIVE LIVE, a five-city tour with the cast of Netflix's Queer Eye; MY FAVORITE LYRICS, a music-comedy podcast hosted by SNL cast member Devon Walker; THE CURSED AMULET Julio Torres’ not-to-be-missed Halloween party; DAD: a standup comedy show hosted by SNL’s Alex English, Devon Walker and Gary Richardson, WORSE THAN YOU (Mo Fry Pasic/Sudi Green) a new play at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with a popular spin-off podcast of the same name, and CATHERINE COHEN’S CABERNET CABARET at the Alan Cumming owned Club Cumming.
